Mazda MX5

A vehicle that has become prominent in recent times at Road2Race is the Mazda MX5…….. Over the years, they have come in from time to time though there certainly has been a power surge……. Popular both on road & on track, it’s not hard to see why……. True small sports car appearance & for the track they tick several box’s…… light weight chassis, double control arm suspension that allows factory rear camber / toe…. & front camber / caster / toe adjustment which is rare on any car these days…… so even without modification we have chassis tuning options…… A good set of coil overs to allow a range of ride height settings and some upgraded damper control with adjustment & your well on your way to a true sports inspired set up that will deliver on the track…. Of course, the aftermarket has taken care of several further tuning options for additional upgrades which include Poly bushings & adjustable arms & more…… A look at some of the times these cars are achieving at Wakefield Park etc. just confirms that these little cars mean business when it comes to the race track…… Peter
